Mira Haataja writes in the blog of Kulta ry about Avaus (Opening) project and diversity: "Consideration of diversity must be included in the strategy work of arts and culture institutions. Promoting equal treatment based on the law often means at least the existence of an equality plan. The plan may remain detached without management’s desire to integrate diversity work into a strategic work of the entire organization."
Avaus - Opening. Becoming an agent in the field of arts and culture in Finland(2017-2020) was a project which supported the participation of artists and cultural workers of non-Finnish origin or background in the Finnish arts and culture scene. The project was carried out together with the Center for Cultural Policy Research Cupore and Globe Art Point.
