Lukupesä - Reading nests sessions in April-May, online
Kulttuurikeskus Ninho, through its new project LUKUPESÄ, is pleased to invite you to a guided tour of the collection of children's books in Spanish, English, Swahili and Portuguese in Helsinki Metropolitan Area’s library system, Helmet.
LUKUPESÄ is a holistic program aimed to supporting immigrant parents to maintain multilingual reading practices with their families. This project is funded by the city of Helsinki
The key components of LUKUPESÄ are a series of guided tours of the Helmet children's book collection, training sessions and workshops. The objective of these activities is to help immigrant communities to take advantage of the infrastructure and services that provide support for the existing collection in the metropolitan area.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions we are organizing these activities as online sessions. We hope that at the end of this year the situation improves, and allows us to host some events in person.
Currently, we have scheduled the following sessions for the event "Guided tours of the children's book collections in Helmet":

23.4 Tour in English
7.5 Tour in Swahili
15.5 Tour in Portuguese
These sessions will be online, free and require prior registration through our website: Ninho: Lukupesä. All registered people will be sent the link to join the video conference. We would like to invite you to join this new project and share this information with your contacts and social media.
