Kabi Call for papers: Senses, deadline Nov 10th
Kabi is calling for papers for the fall number. The deadline for the finished papers for the next issue is 10th of November 2023 and the theme of the number is “Senses”.
The online publication Kabi (formerly known as Kuriositeettikabi.net) is run by Museion ry, the student organisation of museology at the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi, and covers everything related to the museums. Unfortunately, kuriositeettikabi.net archives are not available for the time being.
You can freely interpret the theme of the number. You can, for an example, write about how people use their senses in museums, or how more senses could be used in a museum setting.
The theme is only a guideline and you’re more than welcome to offer articles outside of the theme. You can write reviews of different museums and exhibitions; stories about what have you learned and experienced during time spent in training in a museum as well as summaries of scientific articles or for example writing a comment and taking a stand in one current hot topic that is being discussed in the field.
Anyone who is interested in museums is welcome to write an article. You can write in English, Swedish or in Finnish. We wish that the writers will be in contact with the editors beforehand and inform what they are going to write about as it helps with the planning of the next issue.
