Save the date invitation to the project’s first workshop on 16 March 2020 - The Working Group for Cultural Policy, Immigrants and Promotion of Diversity 16.3.

The Working Group for Cultural Policy, Immigrants and Promotion of Diversity has the pleasure of inviting its stakeholders and all interested parties to the project’s first workshop, which will take place on Monday 16 March at 12.30–16.

The workshop will look into the opportunities for immigrants and for those Finnish-born with a foreign background to engage in professional and other artistic and cultural activities in Finland. Location: Ministry of Education and Culture, meeting room Jukola, Meritullinkatu 1, Helsinki.

The workshop will explore ways to promote opportunities for all to pursue an artistic or cultural profession and participate in the Finnish artistic and cultural life as a creator and a producer. The workshop will pose such questions as: Which concrete factors create opportunities and which factors prevent them from being realised? How do different actors in the society influence how doors are opened or closed? What type of solutions could we use to promote equality and equity within the arts and cultural sector?

An RSVP invitation to the first workshop will be sent in February–March. You are welcome to forward this Save the Date invitation to recipients to whom it may be of interest.
