The year of 2014 is the year of the minorities in Arts Promotion Centre
Year 2014 at Arts Promotion Centre is named as the Year of Minorities. In 2014 the rights of minorities as art actors and audiences are emphasized. The Year of Minorities will open with a seminar where Special Planning Officer of Arts Promotion Centre Paula Karhunen will present her research paper on the status of immigrant artists within the state support system for arts. The study will be commented by representatives of different migrant artists associations in a panel discussion directed by Pasi Saukkonen, Senior Researcher of Foundation for Cultural Policy Research CUPORE. The seminar will take place at Arts Promotion Centre in Helsinki, Vuorikatu 24.
The language of presentations is Finnish, however presentation slides are also presented in English. The panel discussion will be in English and Finnish.
Participants are welcome in order of inscription (max. 80 persons). Please sign in at
