The application of the new accessibility requirements will begin in June
The application of the new accessibility requirements for digital services and products will begin on 28 June 2025. Accessibility improves everyone's opportunities to use services and promote, in particular, the opportunities for people with disabilities to function equally in society.
The new requirements apply to several services, especially in the private sector, such as online shops, e-books, communication services, and services in the transport and financial sectors. Accessibility requirements for products will apply to, for example, computer equipment, payment terminals, and bank and ticket machines.
