KynnysKino Film Festival in Helsinki 7.12.

The first KynnysKino, held in 1997, explored various aspects of the perfection and imperfection of human images. Since then, we have delved into both the whirlwinds of madness and passion.
This year’s festival will showcase a short film program. The lineup includes artist-professor Jenni-Juulia Wallinheimo-Heimosen's delightful love story When the Dishwasher Escaped (2022), the eco-critical and colorful Breathing Reef (2024) by sibling duo and work partners Satu and Maima Tani, and the internationally award-winning accessible short film Litterator (2024) by Niklas Röholm and Christina Danielsson.
Director Kari Toiviainen will attend the event to discuss his upcoming projects and perspectives on disability. The evening will culminate with Ella Glendining’s BAFTA-winning documentary Is There Anybody Out There? (2023).
All screenings are free of charge!
The theater will equipped with an induction loop during the festival.
