The S�mi National Day 6th February

The Sámi National Day is an ethnic national day for the Sámi people that falls on February 6, the date when the first Sámi congress was held in 1917 in Trondheim, Norway. The congress was the first time that Norwegian and Swedish Sámi came together across national borders to work on finding solutions to common problems.

There will be several events organised on the national day:

The National Day events at Siida

For example: Outi Pieski: Rematriation of a Ládjogahpir—Return to Máttaráhkká, exhibition will open on the national day and is open unti 24.9.2023. More information in Finnish: Kansallispäivän ohjelma Siidassa
