The gender study project of WIFT Finland has ended in February 2023
Researcher Tarja Savolainen has been in charge of WIFT Finland’s (Women in Film and Television Finland) one-year-project on gender studies. It was surveyed what is the situation of gender studies in audio visual field in Finland and how the research could be promoted.
The project found out, that there is not much research on the gender equality of the field. There are also not enough proper statistics, that would be published regurarly and help follow the situation of gender equality on the audio visual sector.
