The aims of Culture and Well-being Pool at parliamentary elections 2023
Culture and Well-being Pool suggests five aims for the next government programme.
Brief and unofficial translations of the aims:
- There should be a common forum of Ministry of Social Affairs and Health and Ministry of Education and Culture, strengthening cooperation of cultural well-being in different sectors and strategies.
- The funding of art and culture should be raised to 1 % of the state budget.
- Wellbeing services counties must be supported by using cultural referral model, so that for example people who suffer from loneliness, mild mental problems and chronic pain could be guided to art and cultural services, which are organised in group form. The people who are in a tight financial situation can participate with Kaikukortti.
- The role of art therapy should be more clear and they should be a permanent part of the health care and rehabilitation.
- The role of art should be strengthened in the education of children and young people.
