Over the Barriers - Towards An Inclusive Culture 26.-27.10., Tampere
In the two-day 'Over the Barriers' event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore cultural accessibility from various perspectives. The event includes presentations, panel discussions, and accessible esports competitions.
26th October: Accessible Gaming Event
The event will take place on the 26th of October from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Nokia Arena in Paidia. You can watch the event live on Yle Areena, and a recording will be available for 30 days: Esteet nurin 26.10. (this will take you to Yle Areena)

9.00 AM – 12.00 PM Special eSports – Accessible e-Sports, Paidia Open Tournament Qualifications
9.00 AM – 1.00 PM Rocket League Tournament with Adaptive Controllers (open to everyone)
1.00 PM Special eSports – Accessible e-Sports, Paidia Open Tournament Finals
Special eSports is a form of esports developed in Finland in 2019, aimed at individuals with developmental disabilities. In this discipline, digital games are controlled using body movements, allowing gameplay regardless of a player’s fine motor skills. The competition is preceded by morning qualifiers, with the best participants advancing to the finals.
