
Moving in Mayhem, Helsinki 3.7.
Moving in Mayhem explores Ukrainian contemporary dance’s response to the war organised by Ukraine Solidarity Residencies artist Stanislava Ovchinnikova in Helsinki on 3.7 at 17.00 at Kino Regina, Oodi.
At 17:00, there will be a screening of Ukrainian contemporary dance films created during the russian full-scale invasion. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the choreographers, offering an opportunity to get to know their creative process amidst the war, explore dance as an instrument of resistance and resilience, and ask questions.
Works by Dmytro Zakharov, Daniel Zenkin, Svitlana Oleksiuk, Olha Kebas, Yana Schevchenko and Dmytro Abalmasov, Yaroslav Kainar, Lesia Prusova, Olena Vakhrameieva, Yeva Voloshyna, Yaroslav Korotkov, and Valeria Koptseva will be shown.
The films have been selected in collaboration with the Let The Body Speak project archive, which serves as a hub for Ukrainian contemporary dance amidst the russian war.
