Seminar on Art, Culture and a Diverse Finland
The Ministry of Education and Culture is organising a joint seminar on Art, Culture and a Diverse Finland with the Arts Promotion Centre Finland on 14 October 2021.
The seminar will be held as a hybrid event, so you can attend either at the seminar venue or online. The morning programme will be interpreted simultaneously in English and Finnish.
Place: Arts Promotion Centre Finland, seminar hall, 1st floor. Hakaniemenranta 6, Helsinki / online
Time: Thursday 14 October 2021 from 9.30 to 16.00 (lunch break from 12.30 to 14.00)
The seminar’s programme is based on the report of the Working Group for Cultural Policy, Immigrants and Promotion of Cultural Diversity and the follow-up work to the report. The goal of the seminar is to offer a forum of discussion for those working at the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Arts Promotion Centre Finland and cultural institutions and as independent operators in different fields of arts and culture for the exchange of views on the necessary follow-up procedures.
The seminar will have two workshops. The first workshop will test the diversity supporting dialogue tool of the project Culturally sustainable Finland. The other workshop will discuss diversity in the preparation of the Finnish Government’s cultural heritage strategy.
