Kenen kulttuuriperintö? Tunteet, tilat ja teot (”Whose cultural heritage? Emotions, spaces and actions”, Vastapaino 2024) is a collection of articles focusing on different meanings and exercise of power in cultural heritage. With almost 20 writers, it examines the meanings and ownership of cultural heritage for examole from the perspective of Sámi people and community of disabled people, hip hop community, African diaspora communities as well as children and young people.

On the background of the book is the seminar ”Whose cultural heritage?” which was organised in November 2021 by the Finnish Heritage Agency, HERIDI project coordinated by University of Jyväskylä and funded by Research Council of Finland, and Culture for All Service. The book Whose cultural heritage continues the discussion of the seminar on the experiences, meanings and power related to cultural heritage. The Executive Director of Culture for All Service, Rita Paqvalén is one of the editors of the book, and Sari Salovaara, the Leading Senior Specialist of Culture for All, has written an article on the visibility of disability history in museums.
